Ginger and Turmeric

Recent research reveals that ginger root kills breast cancer cells. The Journal of Biomedicine and Biotechnology published a study that showed that ginger inhibits the replication of breast cancer cells without affecting normal breast tissue. Ginger also prevents the proliferation of breast cancer cells and keeps it from spreading to other areas of the body.

Ginger has also been shown to inhibit other cancers as well, including: Colon and Rectal Cancer, Liver Cancer, Lung Cancer, Melanoma, Pancreatic Cancer, Prostate Cancer, and Skin Cancer

In a previous newsletter I wrote about the anticancer effects of turmeric root. Turmeric root and ginger root come from the same family of plant. So it is no surprise that turmeric root has been shown to kill breast cancer cells as well. It also prevents tumor cells from multiplying, prevents normal cells from turning into tumor cells, acts as a homing device to help your body locate and destroy cancer cells, and helps prevent the development of blood supply to cancer cells, so that they die and cannot grow.

Turmeric root has been shown to inhibit breast-cancer mobility, inhibit cancer cell growth in pancreas cancer, and cause cell death of lung cancer cells.

Ginger root and turmeric root can be used synergistically to fight and prevent cancer. If you are someone who has a personal or family history of cancer I recommend using ginger and turmeric root as a preventative measure. If you’re someone who is currently combating cancer I recommend using turmeric root and ginger to supplement your current treatment program.

Prevention is the best medicine.  Include ginger root and turmeric root in your diet to help your body stay healthy.
